About the conference

The primary objective of this course is to provide interpreters with a basic knowledge and tools to become aware of the fundamental requirements of a conference interpreting assignment. The secondary objective is to create real-life situations in order to have participants practice the acquired skills and receive feedback. The course is approved for continuing education points by the JBCC and the ATA.

About the trainer

Ms Darinka Mangino is a conference and court interpreter. She holds a Master's Degree in Advanced Studies for Interpreting Trainers from the Université de Genève in Switzerland; a PGC in Forensic Linguistics from Aston University, in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor´s Degree in Conference Interpreting from the Instituto Superior de Intérpretes y Traductores, Mexico City. She is a member of CMIC and PR person for the MCAC Region of AIIC. She has taught as the Adjunct Professor for several Interpreting programs in Mexico and is the founder of Lexica Aula Virtual para Intérpretes.
