Spanish and English: I was raised in a bilingual environment, shared between the shores of Puerto Rico and the steel blue and gray skies of New York City. My thinking and language processes have always been transparent in terms of these two languages and cultures. They are part of me as much as I am part of them. In addition to that early acquisition of language and culture, I have now internalized and become part of the Central-Southwestern culture of the US. The cultural diversity of this region enriches my world view with each day that passes.
